    Apricots are some of the most popular fruits grown in South Africa and due to their short growing season, they are often dried. Much like their fresh counterparts, dried apricots contain large amounts of fibre, as well as essential vitamins and minerals. What's more, our preservative-free dried apricots are made without sulphur or added sugar, so you get the real fruity goodness and a great nutritional boost. They are commonly eaten as a snack, but you can add them to a variety of dishes. Try them in baked goods, mueslis, sosaties and stews. And of course, they are a yummy addition to any lunchbox, and the perfect companion for camping, hiking, and road trips.

    WHY SO DARK?
    By Nature’s preservative-free apricot halves are dried without the use of sulphur dioxide and/or any other sulphites. The natural oxidation process that occurs when drying sulphur-free dried fruits, gives you a slightly darker colour and a sweeter flavour.

    WHY SO DRY?
    When drying fruit without preservatives, the natural sugar in the fruit helps to prevent the growth of bacteria, moulds and yeast. When drying fruit that is naturally low in sugar, like apricots, a longer drying time is required to achieve the same result.

    A healthy "addiction". These Apricot Halves are really, really, YUMMY!! They're a perfect texture, chewable but not too hard & not all soft and squishy (like the ones drowned in preservatives. Sulphur! Ugh!! That awful chemical that blocks your chest and makes you wheeze when you breath) No preservatives on the Apricot Halves. MOST IMPORTANTLY they Taste Absolutely Amazing!!! They're a lovely combination of Sweet and slightly Tangy. Not too sweet and not too sour. When I feel like nibbling something sweet I eat them with fresh fruit or even with a few plain biscuits. They're delicious mixed in with a bowl of fruit salad (even just plain apples, cut into cubes) some plain, preservative free yougart & a drizzle of honey. They go really well with raw nuts, especially Almonds (which are very high in Calcium) or as an alternative, Raw Cashew Nuts (not as nutritionally dense, as Almonds) I just eat them like this as a health snack, which gives a great source of Protein, combined with something sweet & tasty. I'm sure there are a 100 more ways to enjoy these Apricot Halves, I'll never get tired of eating them, they are so DCELICIOUS!!!
