Undoubtedly one of our favourite snacks, these preservative-free dried black figs are deliciously sweet, from their chewy skin to their decadent centre. Dried figs boast an impressive amount of dietary fibre while being rich in vitamins and minerals, including folic acid, potassium, calcium, iron, copper and magnesium. They make a satisfying, energy-boosting, guilt-free alternative to sugary treats, and are ideal for cookies, spreads, sauces and more.

WHAT’S THE WHITE STUFF?
Fruit sugar may crystallise on the surface of dried figs, giving them a natural sugar coating with a deliciously sweet taste. This is a completely natural process and the figs are perfectly safe to consume.

TO REHYDRATE
• To rehydrate for baking, simply soak in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes.
• Drain well before use.
