Pears have been cultivated for thousands of years and are widely popular for their unique nutrient qualities. They are low acid fruits, gentle on the digestive system and an excellent source of dietary fibre, copper and vitamins K and C. Most of the fibre is found in the skin of the fruit, so these pear segments are dried with the skins on. No sulphurs or sugars are added either. They are simply picked, cut and dried, giving you a nutritious, chewy and tasty addition to scones, cookies and granolas. They are great for school lunches or make a healthy, chewy snack straight from the bag.
